Fund A Need
What does Fund-A-Need mean?
The Fund-A-Need (FAN) appeal is an initiative jointly identified by school staff, the Learning Fund Board, and the parent community. It is a mission-critical project or program, and the funds raised during the Fund-A-Need “paddle raise” are restricted to that campaign.
Green Valley Learning Fund’s 2025 Mission Appeal (Fund-A-Need):
Essential equipment, upgrades, teaching technology and student support.
With the district facing a $37.5M budget reduction, and $24M to be realized in the upcoming 2025-2026 fiscal year, no school will remain unscathed. Green Valley Elementary will be impacted by a 10% site budget cut. Faculty, site council, etc… will lean on the Learning Fund to bridge the gap for essential equipment, technology, and upgrades.
The Learning Fund is committed to finding the resources to support our teachers with the essential equipment and technology that they need to provide basic classroom instruction.
Explain — Essential equipment, upgrades, teaching technology and student support.
Think: replacement parts (like the bulbs) for the A/V projectors in all 21 classrooms; upgraded radios (walkie-talkies) for every teacher and staff; at-risk software programs such as Mystery Science, RazKids, etc…
